Arsenal v Manchester United to be shown in 3D on Sky

The Premier League clash will be the first 3D broadcast of live sporting events.

BSkyB is aiming to do for sports broadcasting what James Cameron did for cinema with special effects blockbuster Avatar, with the move to air this weekend's Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester United in 3D at 9 pubs throughout the UK.

BSkyB will not name the pubs, for fear of overcrowding, but has said football fans at four London establishments, two in Manchester and one each in Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin will find they have the option of watching the game on a 3D screen.

Dave Chapelle in San Francisco

Are you somewhat moody today? Then watch this ...... I nearly died of laughter watching this.

Dave Chapelle is a straight up legend, the voices he makes and his mannerism are classic and you know what he makes fun of is so true.

There is a first part which I couldnt embed so watch that but I promise you it will put you in good stead for the rest of the day.

Amber Rose

Excuse me if I offend my female readers by putting this up, but I am just admiring a fine female form.

Feel free to disagree with the 'fine form' too fellas but those pics might persuade you otherwise.

Glee - I wanna Sex You Up

Who's been watching Glee? I'm loving it at the moment. For those who don't know about Glee, Glee is an American musical comedy-drama focusing on a high school show choir (also known as a glee club). It's currently showing on E4 and it's bloody funny.

Above is a clip from the last episode, check it out.

*Sorry about the video quality this was the best that I could find.

Goldielocks - Cold Sweat

TOTR are liking this tune a lot, the video is pretty impressive too.

This tune will feature on Goldie's upcoming EP 'I'm not her', support her movement and go cop it February 1st on gut instinct.

Soul Train

I need to start doing this at the TOTR events! Ha ha

Is it the end of the Record shop?

Tune Of The Day

Arcade Fire - Haiti

The Libertines to reform?

Carl Barât has said that the Libertines will be reforming next year in 2011. The band originally split up in 2004, but Carl and Pete Doherty have reunited for one off gigs since then.

The reformation of the Libertines would defintely be a good thing and will no doubt shake up this stagnent music industry.

But, no matter how I would love to see this happen as the Libertines were and will always be arguably the best British band of our time. It has been six years since they split, they haven't completely reformed since then so I can't see it ever happening now or in the future.

The TOTR Diet

I don't know about you but I am sick and tired of seeing adverts for weight watchers or TV programmes like the biggest loser on every day.

It's the same old spiel 'Lose up to six pounds in two weeks by eating Special K'. Blah, blah, Blah.

So, in annoyance I have derived a TOTR Diet plan and to be honest it's just common sense.

Eat healthily, do not snack or binge drink, eat little and often. Cut out the carbohydrates completely or eat in moderation. Don't eat after 8.30pm and complete 3 hours of exercise per week, preferably cardiovascular.

Follow those simples steps and you'll be fine.

Bring on Summer

I am so over winter the cold weather and me do not mix well, it's like chalk and cheese. Bring on the summer I say, there is so much to look forward to this summer.

The world cup, BBQ's, road trips, sunny days, beer gardens and warm evenings.....The summer is bliss.

TOTR tip for the summer: Ibiza opening parties, May 2010. Yeah Baby!

On a cold day like today, Duck Sauce - Anyway will warm you up.

Theophilus London - Humdrum Town

Don't forget Mr London himself will be performing at Gilles Petersons worldwide awards in Feb. To see the complete line up click here.

Just Dance

I love this game, it's probably the best game on the Wii at the moment. If you have a Wii but haven't got this game make sure you get it soon.

The only negative thing about Just Dance is that you cannot download extra songs, I think there are thirty or so songs which is cool but once you have gone through them all you do want more.

TOTR rating 4/5

YoYo this Thursday

M.I.A to release new album

M.I.A will be releasing her third album in early spring, she claims it will be a 'no gimmicks' album.

"It’s my third album and I have to kind of confront whether I am a musician or not… I wanted to make something that you could play that isn’t like trendy just for three months, or the length of a DJ’s attention span."

Well, whatever she release's I am sure it will be epic.

Galang my all time favourite M.I.A track.

Hip-Hop Karaoke Dillaoke Special & Livin’ Proof.

To celebrate what would have been James “J-Dilla” Yancey’s 36th Birthday we are throwing our 4th annual tribute to the greatest Hip-Hop producer of all time. As ever there has no been no shortage of top name DJs wanting to offer their services for free in order to mark their respect for the man who created the beats that keep clubs they work bumping week in week out guaranteeing our strongest line up to date.

4 years after his untimely death from complications brought on by Lupus disease
J-Dilla’s status and appeal continues to grow so we expect what is widely regarded as “THE” Hip-Hop event of the year to be even more popular than the previous 3 years that have seen Cargo packed to capacity within two hours of opening. We have pre-empted this not only by moving to a larger venue but through the availability of more advance tickets including the special VIP tickets that grant access to the VIP bar and balcony and special delivery of the ever popular exclusive T-Shirts designed for the event and a CD of Dilla’s work.

In his brief 32 years J-Dilla, otherwise known as Jay-Dee or James Yancey created and shaped a new sound for Hip-Hop that inspired beat smiths, MCs and music lovers around the globe. With an incredible line of production credits for De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu, The Pharcyde, Janet Jackson, Busta Rhymes, Common, D’Angelo, his own crew Slum Village and so many more it is little wonder that he has been described as a visionary, a genius & the quintessential producers’ producer by some of the most respected names in the game. The fact that both Pharell Williams & Kanye West name him as their major inspiration speaks volumes to the influence of his distinctive “Dilla sound”.

His own albums “Rough Draft” & “Donuts” on Stones Throw, “Welcome 2 Detroit” & “The Shining” on BBE Records alongside “Jay Loves Japan” and his work on his brother Illa-J’s album “Yancey Boys” stand out as masterpieces of modern music production and capture the imagination of producers, DJs & all music lovers across the world. Some of the UK’s most respected DJs will be stepping up on the night to play their favorite tracks by a true legend.

Frozen Britain

This striking image taken by Nasa's Terra satellite on 7 January shows the UK deep in the clutches of the current cold snap.

Pretty impressive!!!

Random Impulse F64

Jeez, Random Impulse went 'ard here!

We at TOTR have mad love for 'RI', who performed at two of our events last year and who also features on our compilation album.

No doubt will be seeing 'RI' making even more strides this year.

Wiley On Twitter

Wiley on Twitter is as annoying as two kids on the back seat of a car during a long journey saying 'are we nearly there yet' it is all repitition with a whiney voice.

All he ever tweets or moans about is him taking the industry over and getting a number one single and to be honest you can't blame him for it either.

It must stem from his ego and insecurity, the ego of him being Wiley 'godfather of grime' and having this front or persona to keep up. Also, the insecurity of him not really selling much records, jumping from label to label and the much sort after number one spot still evading him. Where the likes of Tinchy, Dizzee & Chipmunk who he brought through have all been. It must hurt.

Look on the bright side Wiley at least you have the formula! LOL

Wiley's Latest single: Take That out now!!!!

Rox

I have been championing Rox for a long time and believe she will be a massive star. To be honest I thought 'oh nine' would have been the year for her. However, it was the year for her to touch base so to speak featuring on Jools Holland and being selected as the BBC's one to watch.

So, it looks all set that 'twenty ten' will be her year and like I always say when I blog someone amazing if you don't know get to know.

ROX
